Community Can "Speak Up For Education" on February 27
Bulloch County Schools invites anyone interested in K-12 education to attend our event, Speak Up For Education, on Thursday, February 27, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Statesboro High School Auditorium at 10 Lester Road.
It is a night to share your ideas about how we as a community can (1) Ensure all Bulloch County's children are ready for kindergarten; (2) Ensure all Bulloch County graduates are ready for college and careers; and (3) Ensure Common Core will help our children achieve. These topics will help us gather ideas that relate to the College & Career Readiness portion of the [ http://www.bulloch.k12.ga.us/cms/page_view?d=x&piid=&vpid=1276352873555 ]Bulloch County Schools Strategic Plan (Plan).
You will also hear a brief report on the Plan. Last year, through a three-month community engagement process, more than 700 of you came together to "speak up" about what Bulloch County Schools does well, where there is still work to be done, and where we should focus our time and resources. From your comments and ideas, we developed the 20-year Plan that focuses on college and career readiness, employee performance, community collaboration, economic development, and stewardship of resources.
Please plan to attend, and "Speak Up for Education." Our children are worth it. For more information contact 212-8500.
